I was keen to visit somewhere new for my next landscape photograph shoot and Lathkill Dale was on my list of places to visit! While it is very easy to keep visiting the same locations and ponder different compositions on a theme, it’s always thrilling to visit somewhere new and think on your feet!
While I had briefly visited Lathkill Dale at the Conksbury Bridge end, I had not ventured into the dale proper, from the Monyash side. On my visit I was keen to photograph the famous Lathkill river waterfall, along with majestic view of the dale before the river emerges from the cave.
My plan was for a sunset shoot, arriving around lunchtime to walk the length of the dale to the waterfall and then make my way back up the dale to catch the last of the light in the open dale.
Here are the images I captured on my afternoon out. I hope you enjoy seeing my take on Lathkill Dale Landscape Photography.
