It’s great to welcome you to my new website and the home of my Landscape Photography.
My passion for image capture and creation started back when I was in my teens, leading me to a 15 year career in the Film and TV industry. My passion for hiking came much later when I decided to propose to my wife on White Edge Moor in the Peak District. Since then, we have been hiking most weekends, winding around the Hope & Edale Valleys in the Peak District.
‘Peak by Dan Mears’ was born out of these passions following a holiday to the English Lake District in the Summer of 2019, where I just found the views unbelievable!

With my Blog, I hope to share with you a little of the ‘Behind the Scenes’ workings of my Landscape Photography. From shoot planning and preparations, the shoots themselves and the equipment I use, to image manipulation and my printing process. I also hope to share with you new prints, new products and the exciting ventures of ‘Peak by Dan Mears’.
I have also enlisted the help of an avid hiker and mountaineer to blog on my website too. Known as ‘Wild and Woolly Walker‘ on Instagram, my wife will share with you some ‘behind the scenes’ content on her Instagram page and also provide some interesting blogs around hiking in the Peak District & Lake District.
