With some good weather forecast, I was keen to grab an iconic shot of the Peak District at sunset, a view that anybody would recognise! The Monsal Trail is a famous route through the Peak District, popular with cyclists and hikers alike. It’s popular with families too and people wanting to take a stroll. The route crosses over the Headstone Viaduct, an old rail track route, and down into Upperdale. You can make your way up off the Monsal Trail and head up to Monsal Head, one of the most iconic view points in the Peak District. After a steep climb a pint in the pub or an ice cream is in order while you take in the view of the valley, featuring the viaduct, Upperdale, Monsal Dale and the river Wye snaking through.
Here is my take on the famous Monsal Head view at sunset, presented in a panoramic format. I love this image so much I have it framed in my own office, complete with solid Oak frame, in a 10″ x 30″ format.
This print is available to purchase in my print store for you to enjoy in your own home, in a range of sizes, here along with a range of bespoke frames here.
