Spring in the Peak District – Post Lockdown Shoot

Two Lambs

The news came in from Downing Street, the lockdown was easing and we could travel for exercise! Kirsty and I were relieved as we had both missed the Peak District so much during the Covid-19 situation.

With camera in hand, we set off to hike around near Hathersage and Stanage Edge with the aim of capturing the bluebells and sights of spring in the Peak District! It was late in May, so I knew the bluebells didn’t have long left before the woodlands took on a life of their own ready for summer!

I hope you enjoy these images I captured during our Post Lockdown Shooting Hike, all of the images are avaliable as high quality prints for you to enjoy in your own home, just click the link below each image to find them in my Peak District Print Collection.

Once I’d captured a range of bluebell photographs in the woodland near Hathersage we made our way up onto Stanage Edge. In the process we passed some cute lambs on the way, what says spring better than lambs!

We finally made it to Stanage Edge, taking the winding path up to the top of the edge. It made a fantastic location to capture a few images, so much so I re-visited this location a few weeks later at sunset to capture some more images, check them out here.

As we were enjoying being out in the Peak District again, we decided to extend our hike and go over Higger Tor and along the ‘yellow path’ below Burbage Edge.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable hike, with great weather and lots of amazing photo opportunities to capture spring in the Peak District!

All the images in this blog are available as high quality photographic prints for you to enjoy in your home. Why not take a look at my full Peak District Print Collection.
